Justice Secured: Settlement Reached in Lancaster Case

At Bailey Law, we believe every citizen deserves to be treated with dignity and fairness under the law. Recently, we represented Ms. Anaysheon Coffey in a civil rights lawsuit against the City of Lancaster. The case involved allegations of racial profiling, harassment, and wrongful arrest.

After a lengthy legal battle, the city agreed to a $120,000 settlement. While the city denied the allegations, the resolution of this case delivers a clear message: racial profiling and harassment have no place in our communities.

We are proud that this resolution sends a powerful message that racial profiling and harassment will not be tolerated. Our hope is that city and police officials take note of this settlement and implement the necessary changes to ensure this never happens to another citizen.

Cases like this highlight why it is critical to hold public institutions accountable. They also remind us of the importance of knowing your rights and standing up against misconduct when it occurs.

At Bailey Law, we remain committed to protecting the rights of individuals and advocating for a justice system that works for everyone.
